Overview

Engineered for rotating equipment where controlled leakage and long-term sealing performance matter

Labyrinth Seal

Wimstech Labyrinth Seals provide non-contact sealing in rotating machinery, helping reduce the leakage of gases or fluids between areas of different pressure. The design uses precisely arranged clearances and sealing paths to control fluid movement without continuous contact between rotating and stationary components.

The labyrinth creates a complex, maze-like flow path that progressively reduces pressure and flow as the fluid passes through the seal. This non-contact design helps minimize wear while supporting reliable performance in high-speed and demanding industrial applications.

Key Details

Seal Teeth/Ridges

Thin sharp edges arranged in series.

Rotor

Rotating part connected to the shaft.

Stator/Housing

Stationary part positioned around the rotor.

Small Clearance Gap

Narrow space between rotating and stationary parts.

Labyrinth Path

Complex passage that reduces fluid or gas leakage.
